Guests need to be aware that our great cleaning staff is being even more careful than usual, using the proper protocol to disinfect all surfaces and keep the property safe for the guests. We ask that only guests who are driving stay for now. We have a single neighbor who is very friendly but ask our guests to not approach them as they are senior citizens and at a higher risk. We are temporarily limiting the # of guests allowed to 8 instead of 10 for bookings through the end of August. Stay at The Fortress and stay safe. It's an amazing getaway for folks to de-stress during these trying times. There is access to great hiking trails only a mile from the house and we provide specific info to booked guests.

An hour scenic drive from Colorado Springs. This chalet style home consists of 2180 SF on 3 levels with floor to ceiling south facing windows. Great room features ample seating , electric simulated fireplace, dining area and modern, fully stocked kitchen + 2 full bathrooms.
The Fortress includes all the comforts of home, including free WiFi. There's an HD flat panel TV in the great room and big screen TV in lower level rec room both offering DISH TV's Top 120 stations and local stations from Colorado Springs and DVR capability plus Netflix! By end of April the lower level TV is being replaced with a 50" 4K flat screen model! The large loft bedroom has a comfy king bed with full bathroom/shower and a walk in closet. Two bedrooms on the main level each offer queen beds and share a full bath. The lower level has a full size sofa bed.
Lower level family room with direct access to spacious walk-out concrete patio and large hot tub/spa. Send the kids down here for their own big screen HDTV and a small pool table. A nice selection of board games are provided.
The wrap around 600 sq ft deck includes gas barbecue and comfortable options for dining or just sitting and taking in the view. Tastefully decorated throughout, carpet, tile and hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings. Very romantic get away for two or perfect for a family reunion of up to 10.
