Summary: This was our first time staying here, we drive the 3.5 hours to see 311 at jones beach theatre. We checked in and the man who checked us in was nice. We had to drive over to the other side of the building to get to our room. Upon opening the door we were greeted by the smell of cigarettes covered up by the smell of fabulouso. We also noticed that the door had about a one inch gap all the way around it and you had to push very hard to get it to lock. We dropped our stuff and headed to the show so we weren't able to look further at the room. Our initial impression was that it wasn't as nice as the pictures made it seem, but would suffice for our one night stay. Upon arrival from the show (12 am) we started to notice more unpleasant details about the room. The lamp shades were very stained, a lightbulb was missing from one, none of the bedside outlets worked and there were brown smudges on the wall. When I went in to shower, the bathroom door would not stay closed as the door frame was cracked and looked like it had been busted open and not repaired. There was someone else's hair clumped in the drain and a used bar of soap in the shower. It was too late to attempt to get someone to clean the room, hoping the bed would be clean... it wasn't. There was someone's hair and what looked like pubic hair all in the sheets. We slept on top of the bed and used towels as blankets. When we told the manager in the AM he said we should have told him earlier. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
